She holds a BA in Catalan Studies by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and an MPhil of Philosophy (Arts), specifically in Literay Theory, from The University of Birmingham, where she carried out a two year research and teaching stay. In 2004 she obtained her PhD in Catalan Studies at the UAB..

Since 1991, she taught language and literature and promoted literature in several teaching and cultural areas. In 2008 she joined the Department of Language, Literature and Social Sciences Education, where she is a full-time lecturer. She has taught for the Master on Children’s and Young Adult’s Books and Literature (2008-2018), and since 2015 she directs the Master on School Library and Reading Promotion and the Salt School Libraries Coordination Seminar (Department of Education, Catalonia Autonomous Government), which has become model for equivalent seminars in La Llera del Tera and La Selva Interior.

With regard to research, from 1994 to 2008 she belonged to the Research Group on Contemporary Catalan Literature at the UAB (GELCC), she specialized on pre-war women writers and published numerous studies on 20th century Catalan literature, while committing curatorial exhibitions on them. A member of the research group GRETEL since 2009, at present her research focuses are early childhood literary education (0-6), teacher training and digital literature. She was a member of the editorial board of Els Marges from 2004 to 2017 and is an external reviewer for several scientific publications, such as Bellaterra Journal of Teaching & Learning Language & Literature.
