A study divided into three parts which offers: a) a panorama of Catalan literary production of women between 1925 and 1936 (poetry, translation, children’s literature, theatre, journalism and prose); b) an analysis of the narratives of seven outstanding novelists and their critical reception, and c) a detailed summary of the cultural and literary activity of Mercè Rodoreda, which corresponds to the first stage of her career as a writer.
